উত্তরাখণ্ডে হিমবাহ ভেঙে তুষারধসের ঘটনায় নয় থেকে ১০ জনের দেহ উদ্ধার করা হল। তবে হতাহতের সংখ্যা ১০০-১৫০ ছাড়িয়ে যেতে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা প্রকাশ করেছেন মুখ্যসচিব ওমপ্রকাশ। পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে ইতিমধ্যে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ত্রিবেন্দ্র রাওয়াত, ইন্দো-টিবেটিয়ান বর্ডার পুলিশ (আইটিবিপি) এবং জাতীয় বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা বাহিনীর (এনডিআরএফ) ডিজির সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন কেন্দ্রীয় স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ। প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী জানিয়েছেন, পরিস্থিতির উপর সর্বক্ষণ নজর রাখছেন তিনি।
